Where I am at now

Hey, everyone!! So, as I stated before, part of this blog is to document my journey to obtaining my J.D. But, the past is as important as the future is! With that being said, I want to discuss where I am now. Maybe you can relate. At the time of this writing, I am 27 years old. Yikes! I did not attend college right out of high school but rather chose to enter the work force.

Realizing things were not exactly how I thought that they would be (I cannot make retail a career for myself) I ended up enrolling in my local community college for business. That did not work out so well for me either. Skip ahead, I re-enroll at the same community college to start my journey to be a teacher. I loved it, but, that did not last long either.

Skip ahead some more, I have a son! Long story short, many legal and court battles over custody later, I am enrolled in Kaplan University's program to become a Paralegal. Kaplan then gets acquired by Purdue University, which is a fantastic move, and this actually sticks.

So, here I am right now. Working full-time in a law office as an Administrative Assistant while attending my prestigious online school full-time and blogging about it!

Officially, my stats look like this:

3.85 GPA; 30 earned credits; expected  graduation date is July 23rd, 2019.

I am totally loving what I am doing with work and with school. I think that this is where I am meant to be, in a way.
